Dear residents and visitors,
Caesarea, which was the capital of Israel during the Roman period, is now a national leader with respect to the services and unmatched quality of life that it offers to its residents. The Caesarea Development Corporation, the operational arm of the Caesarea Rothschild Foundation, continues the tradition of Baron de Rothschild, (known as the Famous Benefactor) and his family, in developing and marketing the town as a place to live and enjoy community life, and as a location for industry, tourism, entertainment and recreation.
Approximately 5,000 people, 1,500 of whom are children and teenagers, live in Caesarea in long-established neighborhoods, as well as new residential districts. They enjoy a vibrant community life, village-like atmosphere, spectacular antiquities, and a rich cultural program offered to all ages – children, teenagers and adults - by the Cultural and Recreational Center.
The Caesarea Harbor is a central recreation spot for residents, visitors and tourists. Located in the heart of the National Park, it offers a choice of restaurants, coffee shops and art galleries. Visitors to the ancient harbor can make their way from a crusader castle to a Byzantine street, a Roman hippodrome with colorful mosaics, a breakwater and a spectacular theater. Overlooking the waves, they can also watch interactive son et lumière shows.
At the exclusive Golf Club you can enjoy the only international golf course in Israel, designed by Pete Dye, one of the world’s foremost golf architects. The Caesarea Development Corporation promoted the enterprise, and today, golfers from all over the world come here to play on the modern, international-class, 18-hole course.
Caesarea is also a leading player in industry. Approximately 180 top Israeli companies, employing some 9,000 people, have made their home in the Caesarea Business Park. This is the largest industrial park in Israel, with companies in the fields of hi-tech, biotechnology, medical equipment, traditional industry and water technologies.
